| ALLERGY TESTING MUSCLE TESTING (KINESIOLOGY)
Muscle testing is a completely painless procedure and does not involve breaking the skin with the use of needles or lances, nor does any clothing need to be removed.
The way the test works is as follows
• The therapist chooses an appropriate muscle for the patient. This is usually an arm muscle.
• The muscle is tested by applying gentle pressure and it will stay strong
• If the patient's energy system is challenged the muscle will go weak, if not it will remain strong
You can try this test yourself by raising your arm to a horizontal position out to the side of your body. Ask a friend to push down gently while you resist and you will be able to hold the arm in the horizontal position. Now think to yourself “No”, or think of something negative or sad and ask your friend to push down again. The arm will test weak. Now think “Yes” or something happy and positive and the arm will stay strong.
Energy is flowing through the body all the time. When you place a stressor in this energy system the body responds in the same way as it does to your negative thought and the muscle goes weak. When the stressor is removed from the energy system the arm is able to stay strong.
